How you’ll make an impact
Provide technical direction and informal leadership for a broad portfolio of modern technology solutions, including third-party applications, SaaS platforms and Amazon Web Services (AWS). You’ll assess technology opportunities; identify technical debt, product health, supportability and security considerations; and help shape responsible roadmaps that support business outcomes.
You’ll be part of a team that manages a diverse technology portfolio and partners with peer architects, internal technology teams, business stakeholders and external vendors to plan, design, modernize and support solutions.
We’re looking for a collaborative technology leader who can connect business needs with practical, secure and scalable technology solutions. This role is suited to someone who’s a strategic thinker, strong communicator and trusted partner – someone who can guide technical decisions, support roadmap planning and think beyond individual applications to understand how systems, integrations and data work together across a complex enterprise environment.
If you enjoy solving complex problems, learning across different technology domains and helping others make confident technical decisions, this could be the role for you.
What you’ll do
- Provide architecture guidance, roadmap input and technology leadership across a broad product and platform portfolio, specifically AWS and commercial/SaaS products
- Provide architectural leadership by embedding Technology Enablement’s governance, security, risk and compliance principles into technology decisions and solution designs for assigned products, platforms and application services
- Provide architectural direction for systems and integration design, including system boundaries, integration and data flows, resiliency, coupling and dependencies across the enterprise technology landscape
- Help establish clear data ownership and authoritative data sources across the Data & Finance portfolio to support reliable integration, analytics and technology decisions
- Oversee data development and engineering teams within your assigned capabilities to implement secure, stable and effective data pipelines that serve organizational analytics needs
- Guide architecture decisions for commercial and SaaS products, including when to configure, extend, integrate or customize solutions while considering long-term maintainability, supportability and upgrade paths
- Assess current technologies and recommend roadmap priorities through the lenses of technical debt, security, product health, supportability, operational risk and modernization opportunities
- Work with peer architects and internal technology teams to understand integration points and dependencies across applications, APIs, data, networks, cybersecurity services and enterprise platforms
- Provide informal leadership, coaching and mentorship to team members, creating a supportive environment where others can escalate issues, learn and make sound technical decisions
- Collaborate with vendors and technical partners on documentation, support tickets, complex issue resolution, RFPs and software procurement activities
- Stay current on emerging technologies, including modernization opportunities and AI-related solutions, and share relevant insights to support planning and delivery
What you’ll bring to the team
Required qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics or engineering
- At least ten years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience leading technology implementations, technology assessments or platform modernization initiatives
- Knowledge of modern technology solutions and platforms, including third-party applications, SaaS environments and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Understanding of enterprise IT architecture, including systems and integration architecture, APIs, data flows, system boundaries and dependencies across applications, platforms, networks and cybersecurity services
- Understanding of data architecture concepts, including data ownership, authoritative data sources and how data moves across integrated enterprise systems
- Experience making architecture decisions for commercial or SaaS products, including configuration, extension, integration and customization, with consideration for maintainability and future upgrades
- Ability to assess technical debt, security, product health, supportability, operational risk and modernization opportunities to inform practical technology roadmaps
- Strong communication, collaboration, organization and time-management skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and provide informal leadership, coaching and technical guidance to peers and team members
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working across a broad technology portfolio rather than within a single specialized technology pillar
- Experience with AWS, finance-related technologies, SaaS platforms, vendor-managed solutions or complex enterprise application environments
- Familiarity with the Systems Development Lifecycle framework and Agile principles and delivery frameworks
- Relevant technology certifications supported by applied experience, demonstrating continuous learning and professional development
