What the service can provide
Support may include a leisure consultation, an individual plan, finding suitable programs, help with registration and transportation resources, connections to other organizations, adapted activities or equipment, and a Leisure Companion during City programs. Not every participant receives every type of support.
The service itself is free. It does not include free leisure passes, guaranteed program registration or companion availability, custom-device purchases, lifting or transferring, personal care, or behavioural intervention beyond gentle redirection and cues.
Start early and describe the support needed
Call 639-590-8895 or email InclusionSupport@Regina.ca. Complete the Getting to Know You form online or at a major City recreation facility. The office can help if the PDF form is not accessible to you.
For a specific program, apply at least three weeks before its start date. Availability still cannot be guaranteed. Program registration deadlines, space and fees remain separate from the support application.
Attendants, adapted programs and useful formats
The Attendant Admission Program gives a support person free admission to City facilities when one-to-one help is needed. Individual and group application forms are available. City recreation centres also honour Easter Seals Canada Access 2 cards at the cashier, without a separate Attendant Admission application.
Browse adapted programs through Recreation Online or the current Leisure Guide. A text-only Leisure Guide is available. For alternate guide formats or adapted-program registration help, email SocialInclusionPrograms@Regina.ca. Adapted recreation changes equipment, content, technology, support or environment to fit participant needs.
